Inclusion

It is our vision to create a happy and stimulating learning environment in which all members of the school community can grow in self-esteem and develop to their full potential as individuals in a diverse society.  ONE Academy Trust is proud to provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every member of our community is valued and respected.

Our broad, balanced, creative curriculum and enrichment activities provide opportunities for everyone to achieve and succeed.  We have high aspirations and aim to provide the best possible education for all our children irrespective of individual differences.

Each of our schools has their own policy covering Special Educational Needs and Disabilities which sets out how the school fulfils its responsibilities.  This is closely linked with each school's SEND Information Report and the associated Accessibility Plan which are published on the school website and updated annually as a minimum.  The day-to-day implementation of SEND policy and practice is led by each school’s Special Educational Needs Coordinator; it is the responsibility of the headteacher to ensure that the policy is implemented. Our governing bodies monitor that effective provision is in place.

Our schools work closely with Local Authorities to identify and support children with SEND and their families.  The SEND Local Offer is a resource which is designed to support children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities and their families. It describes the services and provision that are available both to those families that have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and those who do not have a plan, but still experience some form of special educational need. The SEND Local Offer includes information about public services across education, health and social care, as well as those provided by the private, voluntary and community sectors.  You can find out more about the SEND Local Offer for each school by accessing the Local Authority website or contacting the school for more information.

If you have any concerns about your child's needs either before they join one of our schools or during their time with us, please contact the headteacher or your child's class teacher and they will be happy to discuss these with you and explain what support and provision is available.  If you wish to make a complaint about our provision, please access the ONE Academy Trust Complaints Policy in our Policies Section, which explains how you can raise a complaint. The school website also provides details.

Central to One Academy Trust's approach is a clear vision which is 'lived and breathed' across all of the schools within the MAT. Trust leaders foster a culture of continuous improvement where safeguarding and the quality of education are prioritised to meet the individual needs/context of our settings. The Trust commits to developing a skilled workforce and strive to ensure that all staff feel valued and invested in, creating an ethos where 'Everyone Matters'.
